I will always remember Bob for our 2 years together on the Pony League Orioles, but especially for introducing me to the love of Strat-O-Matic! How many times I rode my bike to his house, and played hours of Strat Baseball, Basketball, and Football, all the time drinking hard cider and thinking we were getting drunk! Bob was a great guy and I think of him all the time!
Boobo was one of my best friends through high school, college, and life. We shared many good times and laughs together. Only Bob, (during a varsity baseball game)could hit a foul ball down the right field baseline and hit his own car and smash the windshield! Just one of the many funny memories together. Rest in peace my friend.......
I hadn't known of Bob's passing until visiting the site today. He was a teammate on the Knights baseball team and an all-around good guy. His nickname was "Howard," after our assistant principal, Mr. Sandlund. I remember talking to Bob for quite a while at the 20-year reunion in 1999. My condolences to his family and friends.
