Mr. Dave Morrison

For 29 years, the band was led by director Dave Morrison (father of House actress Jennifer Morrison, a Prospect alumna). Mr. Morrison was named the 2003 Teacher of the Year by the Illinois State Board of Education. Mr. Morrison retired at the end of the 2005-06 school year. Chris Barnum, who student-taught under Morrison in 2004-05, was named Mr. Morrison's successor, and he has since taken over the role of band director.

The award-winning Prospect Marching Knights have performed nationwide, including in the 2002 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, and the 97th and 117th Tournament of Roses Parades in Pasadena, California in 1986 and 2006.
